The Gold Orchid suited my purposes just fine. I was there for just a day before flying out to Singapore and didn't have much planned. The restaurant has a surprisingly sumptuous menu. I'd gone there for a bite and settled down to a feast. The service is excellent and the staff are very willing to have a conversation with lonely travellers.

The Gold Orchid is a pleasant place to stay for a short trip. They have a nice pool and fitness centre. There is adequate shopping facilities within minutes, but if you want to see the city it's a bit way off.

The hotel itself was quite nice, but I found the room rather small. Enjoyed the restaurant cuisine, it's really good. Neat, well kept and great service.
