A comprehensive wine list and exuberant cocktails would be the jewel in the crown of a fantastic evening. Dress code applies.
Pier 59
Once you're done admiring the ethereal beauty of the underwater themed décor, settle down to the serious business of deciding from among a range of seafood specialities that would make a dolphin scratch his head. Everything looks good, but since you possible can't have all of it, take your time and make wise choices. The business of choosing a complementary wine is made easy with the help of the friendly sommelier who's only too happy to help. Again, dress code applies.
Taihei Japanese Restaurant
Japanese cuisine has a certain law and order unto itself that, if followed, takes the whole experience up several notches. That doesn't mean you sit on imaginary chairs and put yourself through physical pain before you're given sushi.
It's more to do with the minimalist yet serene ambience which is never allowed to distract your focus from the food. So let the sushi bar and the teppanyaki counter hold you captive as you devote your attention to the fabulous fare.
Saffron
The 51st floor of this majestic edifice offers a view of Bangkok by night that's not as remote as a bird's eye view nor too close to the din below. At this vantage point you'll find the exotic local cuisine restaurant that is bound to make a believer of you. Yes, it's the same old ingredients, shrimp, noodle, chicken, etc., etc., but you'll be blown away by the divine combinations they come up with.
Pool Bar
A pool bar is an indispensable accessory to the pool scene, almost along the lines of Ashton Kutcher to Demi Moore. When you've had enough pool time and have dragged yourself out of the water, you're only thought is perhaps a long cool drink.
You head for the bar with this in mind and are welcomed with a basket full of goodies including sun tan lotion, mineral water, fresh towels, and even a newspaper. Even wives in the Middle Ages weren't this thoughtful. Then you have a long list of delicious snacks going from burgers to assorted sandwiches and other short eats to pick from. Life's good.
Juice Bar
Enjoy the goodness of freshly squeezed tropical fruit or have it in a salad right by the pool. Or then again, you might prefer a warm herbal tea or some iced lemon tea. You should probably try some juice you've never had before. It's all up to you, here at the Juice Bar on the 21st floor.
Goodies
There's something about confectionary that's hard to resist. In fact the more you resist the weaker you get. So just give in, you're on vacation, and let that scrumptious cake or gorgeous ice-cream lift your spirits. Just don't make a habit of it though.
Lobby Lounge
The elaborate lobby with a tranquillity that invites relaxation is the best place to unwind as you carry on a less than serious conversation with an acquaintance. Treat yourself to your favourite beverage as the day winds to a close and thoughts turn to dinner.
Apsara
A dinner cruise in a boat straight from Disney. All lighted up and awaiting Tinkerbell's pixie dust, let it transport you into a Neverland of enchantment, excitement and of course, gourmet dining from the Saffron restaurant, along the waters of the Chaopraya river.
