Songkran, the Thai New Year, is celebrated around the 13th of April.
In Bangkok, this has developed to a huge water-fight and days of fun, mainly centered around the tourist areas of Khao San Road and Sukhumvit.
But the local Thai people are just having as much fun shooting water around and it is known to be absolute madness and party all over the period of Songkran in Bangkok.
