Jump to: Bangkok shopping Galleries - Bangkok shopping Articles

Shopping malls in Bangkok are truly something to behold. They are like nothing you have seen in the West and offer some of the greatest bargains amid some of the most beautiful atmosphere. It is not wonder that Bangkok is often called a "shopper's paradise."

Most of the large shopping malls take credit cards such as Visa and American Express. There are also many different food courts and even play areas for children in most of the malls. Several of them have rooftop water parks and indoor play areas. Shopping is quite an event in Bangkok and the extensive shopping malls prove this time and time again.

In Bangkok's shopping malls you will find everything from designer goods, the latest fashions, specialty stores, herbal shops, and many other luxury goods. No matter what you are looking for, you will find it at one of the many extensive shopping malls in Bangkok. The only negative aspect about shopping in the shopping malls in Bangkok is that your local malls will seem small and inconsequential once you return home. This will give you another excuse to visit Bangkok again as not only are do the malls offer many items you will not find at home, but the prices are very reasonable. Many people travel to Bangkok each year simply to partake in the shopping experience.

Picture 550,000 square metres of retail space. That is what you will experience in Central World, Bangkok's biggest shopping mall by far. Central World is not only Bangkok's largest shopping center, but also holds the crown as the largest shopping center in all of Southeast Asia.

Have you ever been in a shopping mall that has a bowling alley, 21 different theaters, an indoor playground, 50 restaurants as well as a large food court? If you are born to shop, Central World is your Garden of Eden. There is even a large supermarket on the premises. Here you can get virtually anything and everything you want in one trip.

Plan a day to visit Central World. If you are traveling with children, you can promise them a trip to the amusement park if they allow you to shop in peace. There is so much to see in this large complex that it is virtually impossible to see it all in one day, but it is well worth trying. And the bargains you will get you will not believe. The popular Eastern store Zen is one of the anchor stores and offers some of the best fashion and cosmetics, as well as fabulous perfumes at not to be believed prices.

For luxury items, visit the Siam Paragon. Here in this 500,000 square meters of fun, you can purchase everything from a Ferrari to a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. When it comes to luxury, Siam Paragon is the place to go. There are more than 250 international and local brands in this luxury complex as well as fabulous restaurants, an enormous play area and an international food court. For those with discerning tastes, this is one of the shopping malls in Bangkok you will not want to miss.

One of the most legendary and popular shopping malls in Bangkok is the MBK Shopping Center. There are eight floors in this complex packed with over 2,000 shops that sell clothing, designer goods, cameras, gifts, stationary, electronic goods and bargains galore. The weekends are most crowded at MBK which also features a large indoor play area for the children. Once wonderful thing about the shopping malls in Bangkok is that there are usually nice play areas for the children after the shopping experience so they can unwind while you look through your bags of bargains.

Shopping in Bangkok is almost an art form. No where on earth will you find so many wonderful complexes so close together that have such a large array of different goods. No matter what you are looking for, you can find it in the shopping malls of Bangkok.
