The culture of Thailand is one that is open to alternative lifestyles. Homosexuality is embraced just the same way that a heterosexual person would be. In Bangkok, there are numerous places that cater to the gay community; places such as bars, massage parlors, saunas and even some gay friendly hotels. Mostly within the gay community in Bangkok, a lesbian does not have many options where exclusive lesbian venues are concerned. Mostly she has to mix and mingle inside a venue that catered to both men and women who practice an alternative lifestyle. There are however a few exclusive lesbian venues within Bangkok.

Shela is an exclusive lesbian venue near the Silom subway located in Lang Suan just across from the Nguan Lee restaurant. Shela is a pub and restaurant that opens at 7 pm and stays open until very late. While visiting Shela on your vacation you can enjoy the wide assortment of Thai dishes that they serve along with cocktails all while being entertained by the live music.

Zeta is another on of the exclusive lesbian venues in Bangkok, which is owned by the same people that own Shela. Zeta is located RCA Block C, Rama 9 Road and is close to the Phetchaburi subway. Zeta takes on being on of Bangkok's exclusive lesbian venues right down to the all female staff. You will not see any drag queens, men or anything else up in Zeta that is not female up in this bar as this truly is one of Bangkok's exclusive lesbian venues. Entertainment at Zeta is live performances from the Mr. Sister band. Zeta opens up at 9 pm and stays open until 2 am every night.

Vega Cafe is another one of Bangkok's exclusive lesbian venues that is a bar and restaurant combined establishment. Vega Cafe is located at Sukhumvit Soi 39 and is close to the Phrom Phong subway. With a casual atmosphere Vega Caf�, it is a nice place to relax and have few drinks, dine and mingle with other like-minded individuals. Karaoke is done upstairs for guests who wish to do some singing and late at night, you can be entertained with live bands that play a mix of different style music. Vega Cafe is open from 11 am to 2 am Monday - Saturday and is closed on Sundays.

While not typically one of the exclusive lesbian venues, the Chit Chat Pub does hold a weekly get together for the lesbian community Lesla. The Chit Chat Pub is located at Choke Chai 4 Soi 85, Lad Prao Road and is near the Lad Prao subway. On Saturday during what is known as Lesla night the Chit Chat Pub becomes another one of Bangkok's exclusive lesbian venues. Each week will offer up a new theme for the weekly gathering, giving you a variety of entertainment during your vacation. Lesla night starts at 8 pm and goes until very late at night. This is the only one of the exclusive lesbian venues that has an admission fee. The fee is 150 Thai Baht, which is equal to 3.33 Euros.
